addanomadd es una colectiva de mujeres y otras entidades dispersas en el mundo, interesadas en el ejercicio de la escritura. Su común denominador es el vivir o haber vivido donde no se nació; ser originarias de una idea de nación más que de un país específico. De ahí que las nociones relativas al nomadismo geopolítico y cualquier idea o autor@s que nos ayuden a discurrir sobre nuestro sino se convierta en el motivo para dedicar cada uno de nuestros números al espacio mental que libera una cierta imagen: el huevo, el ojo, el cable.
Nuestro nombre busca inferir lo que, por naturaleza, refleja una circularidad, nuestro paso trashumante por este tiempo y espacio como nómadas-tránsfugas en busca del significado de algo que no existe; una palabra inventada, sin origen ni lengua única, capaz de evocar la imagen de un hada al tiempo que un nombre, el numen, la adición… que quiere descubrirse a sí mismo fragmentado en partes o como un palíndromo: addanomaddanomaddanomadd… ad infinitum
Queremos llegar a más mujeres y a todos aquellos que en su hibridación –cyborgs, trans, no-binarios– sientan alojar un alma femenina dentro de sí. ¿El pretexto? La escritura nómada en los albores del siglo XXI.
Larga vida a addanomadd.
addanomadd is a collective of women & other entities scattered in the world, interested in the exercise of writing. Their common denominator is living or having lived where they weren’t born, being native from an idea of a nation rather than a specific country. Thus, notions relative to geopolitic nomadism & any idea or authors who help contrive our fate will turn into the cause to dedicate our issues to a mental space exhibited by concrete images, such as one issue’s the egg or another issue’s the eye.
Our name intends to infer what by nature reflects a circularity, our transhumant pace through this time & space as fugitives in search of the meaning that doesn’t actually exist—an invented word with no origin or unique tongue able to evoke the image of a fairy & her name, the numen, the sum… which wants to discover itself / themselves fragmented in parts or as palindrome: addanomaddanomaddanomadd… ad infinitum
We want to reach more women and all of those who in their hybridization—cyborgs, trans, non-binaries—feel as if they lodge a feminine soul within. The excuse? Nomadic writing at the dawn of the 21st Century.
Long live addanomadd.

Angel was born in Canada, grew up in the USA, and subsequently returned to Canada in 2017. She’s an associate professor of English literature at the University of Moncton Edmundston Campus, and she has a PhD in creative writing from the University of Pretoria.

Çecilias is born in Distrito Federal, currently CDMX, where she eats city and Moon. Her images are the result of such a menu just as they are of certain nostalgia and longing for Nature’s voice: she captures what footprints have recorded and are still saying. She’s pasted to a camera but writing is her first love.
Christy Hutchcraft
Christy was born, and eventually she spoke. Later she began to write. She has resided for extended periods on many locations that in some way or another have become an essential part of her language. Who knows what future avenues she will one day call home and wish to write about.

In Connecticut she learned that the only acceptable response to the question “How are you?” was “Fine, thanks.” Forces of love found her and took her to a place like La Mancha (although in what century she does not remember,) where she learned to answer the question “Cómo estás?” with “Sit down and I will tell you,” and with other travelers of Los Tiempos Pasados played music of Alfonso the Wise, 13th century King of Spain; later suffering a fierce bout of decompression sickness, she returned to her native city, Manhattan, with her soul outside time.

Raised in Guadalupe Heights, an improbable trajectory pulled her to recreate herself in the Slope. After her penultimate trip, she added a mustache to her passport photo; after the ultimate, a beard. She used to reveal her Equator at the beach before the incident. Tends to liquid pages & vowels on the wrong sopt.
